Balanced

When I was being interviewed by all the boarding schools, being Balanced was probably my strongest trait that all the admissions officers thought of me. Because as seen in my Resume, I do all sorts of extracurricular activities but still I am still capable of getting good grades.

Firstly, SPORTS is really important for both my physical and mental health. Doing sports has been a way for me to relieve stress, have fun and keep fit all at the same time. Some of my favorite sports are; Dance, Tennis, Golf, Swimming, Kickboxing, Skiing, Snowboarding, and Badminton. I have been dancing for 13 years, including Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Jazz. I have done multiple competitions and exams to reach the level of dancing I have right now. I have had years of Tennis, Golf, Badminton and Swimming training, and I hope to be able to compete in competitions in the future. I recently started Kickboxing, because I wanted to learn something new and unique for once. I have also mastered Skiing to the point I could teach someone how to ski. So I have decided to move on and learn how to snowboard instead.

Secondly, the ARTS are really important to my family and me, especially music. My mother has been teaching piano for 30 years, and of course, as her daughter, I have been playing the piano for over 10 years now. I also wanted to take up news instruments as well, so I also play the Flute and Guitar. I also recently started taking up art classes, as another way to relieve stress. Back in 2017, I also did an acting programme over the summer called Premiere Programme. It took a lot of courage and perseverance to audition and get through many, many rounds. Then, I had to train for a whole year, before flying to Orlando and perform monologues in front of thousands to people. But luckily I have had plenty of experience from doing Speech and Dialogue competitions.

And imagine after all the extracurricular activities I do, I still manage to achieve high grades and receive an Honor Roll every year.
